Well, I can see something in there but nothing happens until halfway through the conversation. I think if you took the idea out of it and made it into an article it would actually work.

As it is I don't think a chat copy and paste is an appropriate submission Pieh. There is too much nothingness and chatter in it to make it worth the read.... Take out the meat and edit it up though and you might have something. As it is though... Go to Comment

Well im just going to leave it here and ignore it. I dont care enough about it to 'fix it up' I just thought I would share something I found funny. Thanks for the feedback. If you really think its not appropriate then you can delete it, Strolen. You have my permission ;) Go to Comment

I think that this would be good in the forums but not as a submission (unless you do as Strolen suggested). Go to Comment

I think that the conversation would loose a great deal of it's humor and charm if it was condensed into a single concise post. Would the FTZ's be as funny without the argument over the basis of their fur? I think it should go into a humor category. Eyebrow Smiley...Attack! Go to Comment

I think that it is posted as a humorous article, and I've seen much less funny 'funny' articles in Dragon, that there is really no point in it sitting in challenged status.

Maybe one could be trapped in an inland sea (loch ness monster style) and folks have always come to swim in the water there as it is known that it can help you solve your most desperate problems or give you the wisdom you need to do something great. Scholars and schools have grown up around the area to take advantage of the mystical "sea".

Unfortunately others return from the sea with a lobotomy. But such is the risk of true knowledge. Go to Comment

Basically what Dossta already said. Also, I like Lojcrelt as a new twist to the idea of an oracle. Go to Comment

I simply loved this piece.  The writing, the atmosphere -- it really makes me want to use it one day.  I can imagine a religion springing up around Lojcrelt, some sort of "cult of the universe" whose sages seek an audience with the Wisdom.  Too bad it sounds like they'd never return after achieving enlightenment.  Overall, a Teller's Stone sounds like a worthy quest goal and provides plenty of motivation to seek it out.  Once again, I tip my hat to you, sir!

That is a very interesting take on it. I've read the Potter books, seen the movies, I enjoyed them but I never really took it to the roleplay level. Elemental sorting is a very fun idea, and these familiar do fit in quite well with that. Great idea! Have some xp. Go to Comment

I think that these are interesting from what I think is the intended perspective, traditional fantasy, but I think that they could also be really interesting in a more Harry Potter sort of setting. In the former, they offer some interesting ideas, but I think would mostly matter in their actions and bonuses.

In a game focusing more on wizards, though, I think that they could be pretty neat. Stonepal shenanigans, maybe tubs of water for people to put their Wet One's in when they're occupied. Getting an upgrade could be a big deal - you could even use the four elements as a sort of Hogwarts-style Sorting, actually.

From the perspective of somebody interested in familiars, I think that they're neat.

You Can't Go Home Again -- Thomas Hardy

       By: rickster

An adventuress, Semma, has returned to her home village, but something has gone badly wrong: it's the furtive glances, the conversations that stop when she approaches, the childhood friends who now have no time for her. She returns to the town or city and enlists your party to help her find out what's going on.

The party must find out what is wrong: something (perhaps a Cthulhoid monster, perhaps a gang of vampires, perhaps just a bunch of bandits) is extorting obedience from the villagers by threatening their loved ones with at least death. Once the source is discovered, Semma and the party and a few brave yeomen (and women) must deal with the threat by finding its base and defeating it, and then deal with the remnant corrupted villagers who willingly served the Evil Force. These may prove to be the most difficult foe...
