A good idea but it would be better as individual submissions in great depth. Go to Comment

I echo Ouroboros comment of them seeming kind of random, however having created lists of such as this for Hewdamia I know sometimes it seems that way. I would like to see a start of these being fleshed out a bit. A small entry in to making them their own sub perhaps.

It would be nice to have random strolenites choose one and flesh it out for the site but i also realize that this is for Midian and may have guidlines to follow.

A great wealth of details here, a pity it was not better organized. Go to Comment

I dont know, I do love some of the names and descriptions in here, but it is way to disorganized and long-winded to give me any vibes to talk of. It seems as if this is just a list of entries pulled from a random generator? If that is the case, I would not consider it suitable for a main submission.

Nevertheless, some may find use for it, without a doubt. And I´m impressed by the sheer size of it...

Though I'm not sure about all of these, the collection is sufficiently wrong for its stated purpose. The Smallest of Worlds was the one for me, with its natural effect and no need for any gore. Keep at it... or better don't. Go to Comment

We already have one of these.
Torture Devices and Techniques

You might want to rename it Midian Torture Devices and Techniques.

Still some nice addition. Go to Comment

MoonHunter, I thought it substantial enough to merit its own page. I have added it to the Torture Devices and Techniques page. Go to Comment

Although I would generally suggest use of existing codexes where appropriate, some of the more popular ones are getting cumbersome. These are suitably nasty. Go to Comment

Four Rings
Items  (Jewelry)   (Magical)
manfred's comment on 2008-09-30 02:20 PM
I concur with the others, it is a good set worth having. The issue with the fourth ring could be solved by a bit of background. You can see a healer, that through own power, or more likely, through favors of his patients, made the rings to aid him. But it is not only work that keeps a man alive; he liked to sing, though few liked his voice. And so he made a final ring to help him with this problem.

And then they could be called the Four Rings of Healing.:) Go to Comment

Of course they are fine items for everyone and anyone, it is an optional background if they are to be an actual set, hence the past tense. :) Go to Comment

But these don't need to be a set owned by someone. These are "utility magic items", tools for "every day advanced medicine" in a magical society. Every healer with enough purse would have them, even in Midian. Go to Comment

Admin note: Linked to rings compilation.

These are the kind of magic items I adore: small, functional, and practical/ realistic. People would make these things.

I almost think that the 4th ring should either be in a different set, as it seemingly has nothing to do with the others. Still lovely things. Would love to see this made into a scroll with other similar items (or a codex of stubs). Go to Comment

First ring - really cool, and if you were playing Rolemaster, VERY useful. Those bloody 1-bleeders can add up...

Wound-Worry ring is pretty nasty. I like it!

I agree with Moon on the 4th ring and the whole sub in general. Go to Comment

A music teacher, and the 4th ring. Twist - he can't remove it. Hilarity ensues. Go to Comment
