Amusingly enough, this would provide so much more entertainment than Quidditch of HP fame. Sports are yet another thing to toss into a world to add verisimilitude. Go to Comment

I gotta jump on the bandwagon here: the quantum state thing kinda threw me. It seems rather out of place with the rest of the sub. Is there not some other way to score that doesn't require something that...advanced? Not all steampunk is going to be advanced enough to know of, let alone deal with quantum states. However, most steampunk will indeed have this sort of sporting event, at minimum around the Colleges of Steamtech.
As an alternative, perhaps something along the lines of 'keep-away'? For every minute you keep possession of the ball, you gain 2 points. First team to 10 wins (longer games can be played to 20, or even be timed, with the highest scoring team winning). I'll admit, the quantum state of existing and not-existing is an interesting variant of winning conditions, but I just find it too advanced for most steampunk settings. Go to Comment

It's mostly designed for scientists of both the sane and mad variety to show off their inventions. In and of itself, it's not very steampunk, it's what the players bring to the field that make it so. Go to Comment
The amusing part is that I found the picture a few days ago, well before these boots came to be. When I read it, I was like, "Zomgosh, I've got the perfect picture for them!" Go to Comment
Good thought path, can send someone down the right ways. Not really appropriate for the Extreme Necromancer makeover thread, but, reminds me of it. Go to Comment
Nice application, good execution. Some of the ideas are a bit off for my liking, mostly the explosive bone growth bit. I can hang with bone sculpting and grafting, but I personally draw the line at dead things growing at a cellular level, magic or not. The names are inventive and fun, I enjoyed them. Go to Comment
I see your direction there, but I would change the term growth to either enlarge, or replicate, as these are technical processes and not organic ones. Go to Comment
This undead, if freshly made, looks just like a living person and can act like them too but is under the control of the Necromancer. It can act as a spy, lure people into traps, give bad advice, or stab people from behind/attack them. It is quite hard to make however, and only lasts with it's fully living look for two days. After day three the eyes start to decay, by day four the undead is stinking and by day five it is undoubtably undead and noone would be fooled by it in the least.
Failure to apply this augmentation correctly can actually cause the soul to come back into the body, causing an intelligent Undead that will at once attack the Necromancer. Go to Comment
Always love a new and fresh idea for undead. Undead are some of my favorite toys to use and throw out. Slow shambling undead were never a fond pattern for me and this here helps flesh (no pun intended) out them even more so. Go to Comment
