Wonderful - from a GMs viewpoint the possibilities for winding up those PCs used to simply beating up all their adversaries are simply endless - from the PCs viewpoint she could be a real pain

Normally I shy away form giving control of powerful monsters (like golems) to small children but in this situation it does make sense (maybe the wizards who created the golems should have given a little more thought to the activation conditions)

One quibble - I don't like the idea of her being "a young adult in a child's body" - she's only six years old and thus should have the motivations of a six year old

Overall - a good solid character - definitely a 4, possibly even a 4.5

4/5

BTW - Krishna, why do you hate her so much - true she's a little brat but she's not THAT bad - besides that's what makes her interesting Go to Comment

I disagree -- the back-story is very good. It neatly explains the circles powers and motivations, as well as the (several) risks involved in looting the catacombs beneath.

One quibble -- What happened to the souls of all the youngsters sacrificed to give Circle life?

Did they all become part of the Circle's personality? (shades of Paranoia here)
Are some of them still around, seeking vengeance on Dahlia and her descendents?
Where they instrumental in the destruction of the Brethren of the Red Chalice? Go to Comment

Like the name, like the idea of a sentient stone circle, but I'm not much for the backstory. Still, I hand you a...

"Even as their youthful souls were fleeing to the stars above, she gathered them and spun a greater mind of the matter, wiping all memories, but giving the potential for growth, learning and development." that is what I wrote. Break them down, merge the stuff, forge a new being. No memories, new personality. Go to Comment

I was thinking about this. What other backstory would you prefer, Capt'n? Perhaps you can write a sentient stone circle too... perhaps for your Taurzehin? Go to Comment

Ooh! Science fiction! We discussed this in the chatroom, yes?
Excellent! I love it! Well-written, well-thought-out, but I have to say, this post is L-O-N-G-lengthy!
Good job, Echo!

The only thing against this post is the lack of space between paragraphs.

Remember Science Fiction, Science Fantasy, Urban Fantasy, and other gaming genres, in moderation, are perfectly acceptable fantasies. Go to Comment

Kudos, well done. It is good to see that someone can pump some spirit into Battletech, most of it feels cut and dried.

pegged for "weird character" fix to-do list this weekend

in the meantime, I have never played Battletech, but I find this a rousing and stimulating character! good work.

What can I say?

It's simply brilliant -- great motivation and truly scary

And a very difficult moral question as well -- is it one of the good guys (for protecting kids) or one of the bad guys (for killing people)? Go to Comment
