It seems as though I'm having a problem copying and pasting. From my notepad to this site. I can't remove the string of code attached to the end of my submissions.
Perhaps there is an issue with the sites compatibility with an iPad ? It is also not allowing me to edit the last portion of what I wrote. When I try to delete the code, it puts me halfway through my submission.
Perhaps a moderator would be so kind as to fix this for me? Go to Comment
The paste from buttons don't seem to work on my iPad. I would try uploading from my computer but it's broken and I lack the money to have it fixed. Being on incapacity sucks. Go to Comment
Thank you for editing out the code for me. The paste feature does work. I had used the wrong one. Didn't mean to cause any inconvenience. Go to Comment
I understand your reasoning for finally joining! It matches the purpose we made the site in the first place.
Overall it was a great, bitter tale with an interesting twist at the end.
There are some small inconsistencies (he couldn't fathom 5000 years but you said he ruled for 3000 years for instance) and the thy's and thou's are more disrupting than mood setting to me, especially when the writing doesn't really conform to the usage (and doesn't use thine or thee instead of thou) without the rest being written towards that style. There is a certain change in language cadence when you use those words but these seem more a search & replace. It would do better without them. But practice makes perfect and I am thrilled you were brave and shared!
Overall it was a quick entertaining read for certain! Was happy to read it and greatly enjoyed it.
To further impress us, you may want to write another sub with the description of the Star Blade, the creation through the destruction, and that would be cool. Go to Comment
Honestly, I wonder if this is some sort of test of citadel community. A new user appears with an earnest line about being a writer and then posts work seemingly from a bunch of other writers and focuses much on the feedback. Are they checking to see what goes into a vote? Are they picking stuff written by rivals? Or this is just straight theft to achieve some on-line affirmation? On-line plagarization for no profit or real word gain....what is the point? Further study is warranted.
A fun read, and good back story for any elven land.
I too would enjoy seeing the Star Blade written up as it's own sub, and eagerly look forward to more of your contributions to the citadel! Go to Comment
Welcome to the Citadel. It's always nice to meet new members and see their work.
Whilst I did like the story, I have to agree with Strolen. The "thou's" are out of place. There is also a bunch of code attached to the end of your sub, did you copy and paste from word?
Final vote = 3.5/5 (-0.5 for the thou's)
All in all, a good start. Hope to see more from you. Go to Comment
The 'thou's bug me, too, but it's an interesting idea. Aside from the novel history, the elves are pretty much standard elves. +0.5 for telling a history story through elf tears, though. Go to Comment

Apparently a word for word re-post/ plagarization from a different author/site:
