Ah, yes, of course, not resetting the countdown would nicely. As would multiplying the number of Lycanthrope spirits, and speeding the effect. Go to Comment
I might just use this in my own game. The PCs could be hired to investigate a string of bizarre murders that began with a seemingly unbalanced traveler.
The background is good, and the story is intriging. More importantly, the item is original in my perception, and certainly usable without upsetting a game in terms of power.
Awww, these would make a sucky gift! If the players are going to have a prayer of a chance at figuring out the cause of the mess, you should make the boots' effect active only when they are being worn. So a few minutes after the guy puts on some dress shoes or takes them off for the night, he can go back to being his normal, charming self. Go to Comment
Thanks a lot... glad to be of service. GMs must never cease in their quest to screw around with the minds of their players - it's a matter of honor. ;) Go to Comment
Makes the players sure careful about stuff they pick up. An interesting book to add to a library, though perhaps the cover could read: "Guide to Ultimate Power" or "How to defeat the evil overlord who owns this library" or "How to summon the nymph of your dreams in three easy steps" for the lecherous sort...
Or something funny which the player's can't resist opening - "Photoalbum with getting pelted with tomatoes" ... perhaps the book can alter its title and appearance, for more paranoia. Go to Comment
Items (Armor) (Cursed)
Largely I agree with CP - perhaps a little too powerful, but the lycanthropic curse does balance it somewhat
Definitely a good solid 4/5 Go to Comment
