You can go either way, a quick edit here (if you like) or an item submission on the Strata (seems cool enough to stand on its own). Or even a mighty STUB (like a submission but short and sweet and no voting involved)
I was basically just personally curious as a GM what the magical abilities are or may be, as you see them. I actually like the "unknown to all but perhaps the commander" part, just curious for myself :)

Thanks for the freetext and codex bits - still getting the hang of the site. My goal was to strongly impart some of the coolness factors of the Black Company while changing it up enough that it's not just a copy. Hopefully that comes across.
I'd be glad to expand on The Strata or anything else, but what's the way to do it? Just edit this or do you mean add it as an Item? Or both? Do people usually break off the chunks (like places, items, or NPCs) and submit them separately as well? Go to Comment
Funny, I just looked at this for the first time in well over a year - was going to use it again. I was a noob to Strolen at the time I posted this, and all I remember was that the Strolen website loaded really, really slowly because of some technical issue related to the way it was coded and the browser version I had, or something like that? I vaguely remember several people having the same issue as me - so I quit coming here.

A desolate region is almost entirely without normal vegetation. Local plants are able to unroot themselves and crawl along the ground in search of water and fertile soil. The inhabitants fence their crops in to keep them from wandering off and put heavy stone thresholds in the doorways of their huts to keep wayward plants out.
The plants sense by chemical cues, lacking sight or hearing, and tend to avoid herbivores or anything that smells of "dead plants". Characters with horses are likely to be unwelcome among the locals.
