I could see these creatures 'storing' light and releasing it in bursts, which would explain how they are able to increase the brightness beyond that of the original light source.

I would assume they are highly magical, either some freak creation by a spell gone awry - perhaps they _are_ a light spell that went strangely wrong.

An ok sub. I can forgive the DNDishness as rangers really do predate D&D. The spelling and grammer problems earned it a -.5 from me though. Go to Comment

Since in most fantasy campaign, detailed knowlage of magnetics would be metagaming, I find this puzzle a bit out of place and overpowered. Again, I have to ask the question "Why was this made?". Go to Comment

I agree with Moonhunter. Puzzles can be used, but they need to make sense and not exist for their own sake. The question is Why?

Some PC's might be cool with it though. Go to Comment

Quite interesting, but I think it needs a little more work. I'm having a bit of trouble following it completely.

No idea why it has so few votes - this is an excellent organization to add to a campaign. The Star is easily adapted to other campaigns. Go to Comment

This is start of something, I would make them a bit less reliable - more real. Perhaps they started as the secret police of some great empire, and outlived that empire. Go to Comment

Who - there is a LOT to Hewdamia :)

Could you like the race %'s to the appropriate subs? This city is well described as it is, but to implement the new link methods would help it (in my opinion... ) Go to Comment

Dark Unicorn
Lifeforms  (Fauna)   (Other)
valadaar's comment on 2013-05-04 10:05 PM
I would like to think that an iconically good creature such as a unicorn would not easily follow this path, even in the case of the violent death of their mate. A subset may fall into darkness, but I would not think all.

Still, a logical origin for such creatures. Go to Comment
