A nice magic item with the non-verbal command ability I like.

I have something of a similar, but not too close, nature in mind. Go to Comment

I like the personality of the item - it is amusing that it finds Dragon's annoying.

I have to echo Roack on this. It's okay as a scroll entry, but a full sub? No. Go to Comment

I think it would be very hard to change the past without changing one's own fate.

An interesting concept, but damn hard to use.

Not bad - though the scale speaks more of legend than reality. Paying for enough oil to flood the catacombs would probably wreck his economy for years, if it was even possible to source enough oil for the task. And don't get me started on getting it boiling in the first place :)

Perhaps a fair number were slain with boiling oil, and that over the years the legend grew to the scale of 'the entire catacombs' were flooded.
