The article is decent and useful for designing a patheon based on western ideas. I agree that the eastern religions need some attention to round it out. Maybe another article or an additonal section to flesh it out would be good. Go to Comment
As with Shadoweagle's comment, I like using unique powers in weapons. A wizard creating a generic magic sword or weapon whenever he feels like it makes a campaign over powered and in my opinion, senseless. Go to Comment
Klauston Mondragon, Archmage (Retired): His career was long and adventurous. Married to a high priestess, two children (a ranger son and a mage daughter), founder of a town that eventually grew into the capital of a realm and founder of a mage school are just a few of his accomplishments. His best friend was an ale guzzling, mule hating dwarf. The two traveled together and got into many tough scraps until Klauston met his future wife, a priestess of high moral standards. She influenced him to change his carousing and mead swilling ways until he eventually married her. Now retired, he spends his days wandering the gardens of the mage school he founded when not in study in his private library and lab in the school's towers. Go to Comment
The necessity of character growth in the early stages is the most important stage of an adventuring career. I've played low, mid and high level campaigns as well as the new GM's give-away campaign. I enjoyed the struggling character building campaign the most. A well put together article and an important rule to remember by both GM's and players alike. Go to Comment

Perhaps the product of another universe or time, this vessel appears as an early Tall ship, but is made of iron from keel to spar. The sails are a battered canvas but are nearly indestructible, but in truth do little to move the ship - the ship is able to move even with no winds.
The ship is powered by life force, requiring regular sacrifices to ‘charge’. The victims are cast in front of the vessel as it moves, it’s razor sharp bow bisecting them. The ship may initially be missing key components and the ritual to power it would also require research by would-be users.
The ship has no built in weapons aside from the bow, which can easily cut even large wooden ships in twain.
