I love this format. Simple, easy, to the point. I have all ready used it once, and am currently writing up an awesome five room dungeon right now. This sub bears the caesar193 seal of approval. As you may of guessed from the HoH I gave it. Go to Comment

So, uh, where can I, uh, get tickets? Things I'll Bring: shotgun, lots of ammo, assault rifle, more ammo, some food. And perhaps a range of melee weapons (knife, axe, hammer, spear, pike, etc.)

LOVE IT!!! Like everyone else. Go to Comment

The small things are always important, as personified by Arkon. Its a nice touch with the story of the General. Go to Comment

Great trap, though i'm going to make the mixed substances an acid that eats through leather (good-bye boots!), and then put a thorny passage way afterward (which does damage to those with barefeet) Go to Comment
Dwarven War Chariot

caesar193's comment on 2012-11-29 08:45 PM
Well, it would be useful to help the dwarves get to places faster. What I would see its major use would be is to take strategic ground (perhaps a hill or something similar?) and hold it until the other dwarves could get there. I don't think it would be that useful in actual combat situations, as in in the middle of a battle, because the horses wouldn't be able to move that fast with all that metal and dwarves and dwarven weapons, so they'd get killed quickly, and the dwarves killed when they fight their way out. Unless the horses themselves have metal covering them, making them even slower and less useful.

Still, very dwarven. Fairly decent, with some changes with the standard war-chariot to make more dwarven. Still, not too many changes. 3.5/5 Go to Comment

I like the blend of "tech" and fantasy. Why shouldn't radiation and other such natural phenomenon be found in a fantasy setting? Just because magic is running around doesnt mean the laws pf physics don't work anymore. I also like the story of the dwarven smith who killed himself after working with the forge. It set up the piece nicely. Go to Comment

Did the Vantin live on the planet where the Ouzquin Demorix would eventually appear, or do they live elsewhere? That was the one thing I was unsure of as I read your sub. Other than that, marvelous work. It seems entirely consistent with what I know so far of the Ouzquin Demorix. Great job SE. Anything else I'd say would be repeating the above. Go to Comment

Let me get this straight. Is each religious group a sect (or like a sect) of the overall Holy Dominion?

But anyway, overall it was great. Go to Comment

The whole thing is well though out, and a good explanation for why monsters are monstrous and the races are that way and why humans are "unpredicectable." And why the gods want followers. Solid job. Though it may not be the most usable submission in the Citadel, it is a good idea starter. Go to Comment

I love these guys. I like their painful auditory attack, and the image of the, cracking into pieces...

If you appled flame to a Hraun, could you then have time to stick an explosive or something like an explosive into the hole before it iced over? Go to Comment

caesar193's comment on 2013-08-16 07:59 PM
I believe the Children of Glass, though excellent and well-thought out, could use slightly more. Though you have hit the big parts of their culture, and one does get to understand the Ouzquin Demorix through this piece, but I personally would like to know how they get enough food and supplies to build their cities, to support their glass-making artisans, and to allow them fame.

Other than that, I think they are a great idea, and written up beautifully. Go to Comment

Good job, MJS. You get bonus points for including a reference to Dante's Inferno. It could use some capitalization in respect to the people, though. Go to Comment

Tub: In this one, a victim is put in a wood tub. Only his head would be sticking out. His face would then be coated in milk and honey, and he would be fed regularly. The victim's face would be swarmed by flies. Soon, the tube would be filled with the victim's feces. The flies would lay eggs in the feces, the resulting maggots and worms would eat. They would eat both feces and the victim. One victim stayed alive for 17 days. Such people decayed alive. Go to Comment

I do believe something similar is up above, but, well...

bTreadmill with Hot Metal Sheet:b/ You have a treadmill, or some such device like that. You put a metal sheet behind it, and put walls to either side. The metal sheet is kept hot. Burn your skin off if you touch it hot. Very painful hot. The person walks along on the treadmill until he is slowly burnt to death on the sheet. Go to Comment

Head Crusher: A torture favored by the Spanish Inquisition, it involved the victim's chin being placed on a bar, with a cap over the head. The cap would be slowly lowered by means of a screw, compressing the head. Some versions of this device had places to store the eyes, once they popped out. Go to Comment

Emperor Tiberius of Rome had a habit. Yes, its grisly. What he did was sew young men's urethras shut. Before I get into what makes this bad, a quick biology lesson. The urethra is the chute in the body that carries the urine from the bladder, to the penis, and out. What Tiberius did next, which mad this bad, was force-fed them wine Go to Comment

Ashes: The Persians would stick people into a room full of ashes. They lived as long as they could stand. Eventually, they'd fall, and breathe in the ashes. They would then die from slow suffocation Go to Comment
