The 'angels' have recently fallen from grace, and are seeking to unleash an unspeakable evil to earn a place in some demon or devil's retinue until they establish themselves. The butchering of a small town of innocents, preferably after driving the majority of them to the abasement of their morals, will serve perfectly.

Upon being broken, these windows emit the loudest possible shattering sound possible, spraying shards of glass everywhere without actually hurting anyone!

People around here really forget that most DMs should be capable of adding intrigue and depths themselves, instead of relying on being spoon-fed everything. It's a list of missions, not a comprehensive look at what each individual mission should entail or be. Most of what's on here -needs- to be modified from what's posted to even work correctly within a campaign. Go to Comment

Corran's Potion This potion usually allows the imbiber to create one mundane item out of thin air. When diluted, flawed, aged past prime strength or otherwise dampened, such an item will suffer from one of various effects:

1: Explodes on use

2: Brittle

3: Turns to dust after a few uses

4: Ineffective

5: Malfunctions

6: Exceedingly Heavy

7: Miscolored

8: Makes SQUEAK SQUEAK SQUEAK Noises upon use.

9: Insults players when held

10: Insults NPCs during important conversations

11 (Shield Specific): Sings "Hit Me Baby One More Time", "Hit Me With Your Best Shot.", "Never Gonna Give You Up", and "Pain" in combat.

It's enough for me to drop a member or two into a game as minor opponents, but not detailed enough for me to form is as a major group within a game I'd run.

I find that the most dedicated players get the most experience- they miss the least games, badger me to play the most, and overall, play better. Go to Comment

Ted's comment on 2012-06-10 02:08 AM
It's the job of the GM to maintain the health of his/her game. This is anything and everything from making sure all players are engaged and have their time in the limelight, to barring negative elements from the game, even smoothing over ruffled feathers, dealing with unruly SO's, and managing groups of people.

A good GM will interact with players 1 on 1, allowing them the time to discuss their thoughts, wishes, quibbles, and so forth. They will know what each player brings to the story and plot, and will try to dissuade players from making the entire story collapse into an entire mess. They will manage their players and their games so everyone can have fun.

Don't ever be afraid to step back and watch your players banter with one another (in character, of course). Go to Comment
