So portals are mostly already predefined to specific locations?
Is it possible to establish new portals?
Is Teleportia a unique place, or do other teleportative hubs exist? Go to Comment

Criticism like this is what Strolen needs more off. Why not add some ideas yourself, however? Go to Comment

76. Sources of illumination giggle madly in your presence.

There is not enough information of the nature of the letters or their contents for me as a DM to use them in my campaign. Go to Comment

The update improved the Sub a great deal, although honestly this sub seems more like a plot or historical happening in their current form.

1: Did Edamus find all the letters?
2: Will the Gods produce more?
3: Tie this into a group of PCs. Why are the letters important to their understanding of the world?
4: What happened because the original recipients of the letters did not get them? Go to Comment

How about some DM info so I could possibly include these in a campaign? Go to Comment

Wow. Now THIS is good stuff. I can see this getting expanded even more, it's such a good base.

At the end, it would be useful to get some Character Summaries.

Otherwise, this gets a five. Go to Comment

A Series of Tubes (Endless fall trap).
Dungeons  (Underground)   (Traps)
Ted's comment on 2010-11-14 01:53 PM
The recursive portal trap is inherently different for a few reasons:
1: The portal is entirely harmless without any ammunition fired into the trap.
2: Players are not physically disabled in any way, besides arrows and bolts sticking out of their bodies.

As to it being a "Straight copy" from the game portal, the differences between a game where a player can create an endless loop of portals and an object within a game that is an endless loop of portals the player characters have no control over is pretty large. Portal did not originate the idea of one portal leading into another.

It popularized it.

A similar historical example would be the creation of calculus. (http://xkcd.com/626/)

Sure, Newton did it first, but that doesn't imply that Leibniz was working solely off Isaac's work. Go to Comment

Another possibility is that the trap is already filled with projectiles loosed by previous victims of the trap- a whirling river of arrows, bolts and magic still hurtling down the passage. Go to Comment

Lord Jeremy Vancarse
NPCs  (Campaign)   (Political)
Ted's comment on 2010-09-13 11:10 PM
So I have a few questions:
How is Vancarse' insanity affecting the business he runs? Does he have lieutenants running the show, or is it collapsing?
Are the servants afraid to speak, or are they spreading word far and wide of the Lord's madness?

And a few thoughts:
If players don't immediately investigate, how is the Lord still alive? Does he find his own food, or is he dead, waiting for the maid to arrive?
How does Jeremy react to outside interaction?
Does anyone want Jeremy saved?
What is Jeremy like sane? Go to Comment
