Ignoring the paranoia, the drive to backstab your friends to climb to the top of the social order and the fact that it will desert you once it finds a better candidate... sure! :D Go to Comment

Added to main sub:
Kingmaker uses powerful illusions to acomplish these tasks- preferring to entice a target, immerse them in politics, and then fade from their consciousness before finding a new owner.

Usually, one who owns Kingmaker does not associate their good political fortune with owner Kingmaker; Kingmaker does not want its movements through society hampered. Kingmaker uses its appearance to masterfully control its victims and their wants, dominating their needs to suit its own ends. Go to Comment
The Hand of Callous Justice

Ted's comment on 2013-02-26 03:30 AM

Withered Fist

The blackened and withered Hand of Callous Justice is forever trapped in the shape of a fist. Shrunken with age, someone long ago had the idea to incorporate it into a necklace so that the emblem of unflinching loyalty to the law could be worn about the neck.

Those wearing the Hand of Callous justice feel themselves strongly compelled to enforce the law in the harshest way possible- all but the most minor of violations demand the death of the perpetrator. The Hand's demands must be met immediately, lest the owner be stricken with unbearable agony until justice is served.

The Hand allows its owner to immediately become aware of any crime or dishonesty done in their presence, immediately granting complete immunity to the Criminal's attacks. Those using the Hand of Callous Justice find that those they are hunting are completely unable to strike them, their attacks passing through the hunter harmlessly.

The Hand carries a great burden of responsibility- should its owner commit a crime, the Hand of Callous Justice will demand their death, and subject them to relentless suffering and pain until their death- whether at their own hand, or by the next owner of the Hand of Callous Justice.

I intend to eventually do a sub on each sword, as well as a final one detailing more specifically a plot for their final destruction.

Don't hold your breath. Might be a year before it's done, or longer. ;) Go to Comment

Originally, Wrathbringer was going to be benevolent in nature, before the Sinblades came to being. The others are much less straightforward (thinking on Kingmaker now). Go to Comment

KIngmaker is concerned with gathering power. Wrathbringer cares only about exercising it through violence- to the exception of almost all else.

That's not to say that someone in possession of two Sinblades might create such a scenario, and Kingmaker + WrathBringer would very likely lead to the one you mentioned above. Go to Comment

Anyone have any suggestions for better sword names? That was the biggest stumbling block I had. (Wrathbringer and Kingmaker are finalized; however.)

Wrathbringer, the one that inspired the idea for this sub has been submitted.

Kingmaker has been submitted. I know the first two have seemed fairly stereotypical, but some fun surprises await. Trust me.

First thing first. Organization and grammar. Your submission is difficult to read due to your formatting and grammar mistakes. I'd suggest breaking it up into smaller paragraphs, and carefully looking at how your sentences are composed.

English is a very hard language. I'd suggest reading as much english writing as possible (strolen.com can help!)- it will help your own compositions. Go to Comment

I'm sure such blades would be rare- and correspondingly hard to defend against without proper knowledge.

Since the act of sending the Coin involves holding it, applying a contact poison would risk poisoning one's self, but I wouldn't say it was impossible to do.

Interception of a Coin would make for a great adventure, I'm sure. Go to Comment

I've updated the submission to better demonstrate what I intended by "Avoids obstacles". The Coins generally avoid buildings, trees, mountains and the like. Birds, people, windows, other things that can break- not so much.

If you're really tall, beware! Go to Comment

When I was typing this up, I had a short Corran-involved story for the creation process. I decided trying to kludge through it would prevent me from putting the sub up, so I skipped it.

Anyways, Corran created a set of molds (About fifty of them) that are enchanted to make a Falcon Coin. The molds themselves are strongly magical, and any coin poured into them receives the ability to be sent.

I want Falcon Coins to be a bit silly. For very large transactions, the idea of a swarming cloud or line of coins leaving 'contrails' across the skies amuses me. Go to Comment
