Very nice, gotta love the thief items. The bright color would change before i used it, maybe more dark red and chunky (like salsa). I can understand the bright color being used as an in-game way of making it a slightly less potent item in PC hands, but I think that in a world with sufficient Alchemy can probably give it a slightly less noticeable color. Magic is a little different than metal and paints... and who knows, I'm sure that there is an artist out there who would LOVE to be made of linen and paint. Besides, I would of thought it was obvious that he was under some serious magical influence, he did forget about everyone he knew and loved. With the amount of enchantments he was under I'm sure he would have thought being a magical being would be great despite the being a cloak and a pair of gloves.. and it's kind of like the ultimate devotion to his art, he became a creature of art as far as he is concerned. Holy carp! This is the best flying machines ever! Beer-Jets, Ahoy! The letter was a great intro. I was reading, wondering what a gnome opening up a store/bat could have to do with a flying machine, then the ever-full mug, then the flying ever-full mug, and the transition from mug to machine was so gnomishly appropriate that I had to read it twice. This is great stuff!

It's a fantasy virtual reality helmet? Interesting idea, and nice execution, but I'm not sure I would want to use it. Much like I don't tend to use drugs or addiction in most of my fantasy games, this feels like it would hinder the game more than help it. Not bad.
