51) Candy, Chocolates, a bag of Sugar...
- these are edible alternatives to some of the above items, think about it. Round hard fruity candies? Marbles! Who needs chalk when you have Chocolate! and Flour? Screw flour, get Sugar! Plus they make the barbarian's rage a little more twitchy. And... Bribes! It always comes down to bribes! You don't need small toys when you have Candy! Bwa! Go to Comment

I liked this one. I can agree the writing is a bit off in places, but it didn't make it harder to read in the slightest. I honestly enjoyed reading that. Kudos.

I remember this one!

Looking at it again, it's kind of sloppy. But, still a great idea. Nice Daily Highlight.

Pieh's comment on 2010-10-27 07:19 PM

Excellent work, Muro and Pariah. There is not much to be said, other than I dont understand one paragraph.

"During its epileptic seizures, while spouting prophecies, Jul-Ghose cannot be harmed by non-magical weapons or any spells! Such is the power of Mokkus seed! However this immunity is non-existent when Jul-Ghose is conscious, which is almost all of the time. It is unknown what Jul-Ghose lifespan could be. It has existed for eight thousand years, according to the P’Cheela’s reckoning. When Jul-Ghose goes epileptic, this can last several minutes or an hour or more. During these times the P’Cheela, if aware, guard the Prophet with demonic fervor, from any that would attempt to take advantage of the chittering, helpless hulk."

Did you mean is is only harmed while in a epileptic state? I don't see why they would need to guard it while briefly immortal.

Other than that, simply brilliant.

It's about time I added to this...

Vladamir
A Human Monk in 3.0 D&D about around the summer of 2000 when it came out. I learned to play from some guys at the local Teen Center. We didn't know the rules too well, and in their brief time with the game no one had attempted a Monk. So there I am, Vladamir, running around in a monk's robe with studded leather armor on under it. I had the highest armor class thanks to my wisdom score stacking with the armor. I fought with a kama because the DM didn't think fists should be able to do as much damage until I was higher level.

Noteworthy Events: Climbing inside of a giant skeleton, but not just any giant skeleton, this skeleton was Skeletor... Yes, Skeletor.

He also experience ultimate pain at the hands of some invisible halflings with daggers... He was stuck in a electrifying cage inside of a magical instant healing room (long story) being assaulted by aforementioned halflings while the party scoured the dungeon looking for the key to free him. Excellent! This is a very inspirational piece that is (as other have said) well written, logical, and even useful (imagine that?). I will use this in my next campaign. Very easy to insert and build upon. I love it. I'm already thinking about tie-ins for my deceased Necro-Nautical queen, Umeen. It could make for a fun necromancy fighting/using game. Go to Comment

Very nice, but wouldn't a frying pan with a face-shaped dent have uneven heat distribution and potentially make face-shaped pancakes? Either this allow is extremely malleable or Mariem has one helluva arm! It would make an excellent addition to a treasure hoard and it gave me a laugh. Go to Comment

Beltane's Portal
Items  (Ranged Weapons)   (Magical)
Pieh's comment on 2010-12-07 01:38 PM

I don't think I quite get it. Is this just a big picture frame that flings random items, but if you're really good at magic you can somehow fling fireballs and ice arrows? Where do these things come from?

You mentioned that be called a crossbow bolt through, OK, so desired objects can be selected, but where does one pull a fireball from? Is this a multi-planar item with completely random function ability?

I really don't like this very much, and can't see it being a useful weapon, even in the hands of a powerful magic-user. Does the Lich mount it on his wall and command it to fling fireballs or objects he needs to scry for? or does he wield it as a shield that spits magical effects? Either way, I'm sure with the power you need to use it, your own power would be more effective.

This isn't a bad item, it's just really strange and not clearly defined. You know, I can't even see it being a potent tool for theft because of, in my mind, a crystal ball would be used for remote viewing and you have no control over where the item comes from with this portal. It does give me a few ideas though.

It's nice and long and descriptive all right, and I just like thr sound of "Swamp Orcs". The grammar is a bit rough and made reading a little difficult, but its not a bad entry. I also dont see myself using it anytime soon, its a bit too, uh, fantastic.. for me. The idea of this great powerful protector of the Orcs appearing and cursing Valois just doesnt do it for me.
