OUT WITH YE!
Haven't been in touch with MJS. Took off running with this, and now it's live. Hope you enjoy it.
This is a neat little submission. A little madness, nice tragedy, bit of a hostile planet scenario. Overall: Thought-provoking. I could see using this on a smaller scale as well, in a fantasy setting. Far Ocean, God-From-Beyond-the-Stars with complete control of it. Turns out it's just lonely, wants to babble at people, and thats why no one makes it past the Edge of the World Waters. Cool.
I remember this one. Time to correct that no vote or comment!
I really like this one. Very fun, lots of room for growth and change. Good stuff.
As the others said, I agree with the others.
Hulking magi-mutants frenzied by religon. Not bad. It's been done but that's not a problem. The thought of an entire month without sleep is horrifying, especially when combined with the thoughts of what kind of stimulents, magical, physical, and chemical, these Samites would have to employ to achieve that without killing the subject. Not bad at all.
Neat. I've always has a soft spot for the khopesh, and remarkably usable weapons of less suitable materials. Flavor is good, names are great, history is fun. Solid.
This is a really cool idea. Could probably be a nice fairytale of sorts about the powers of friendship with a little work. Great tale, with useful hooks. Nice one.
Hm. A hammer that lays down an area of darkness. Interesting item, never would have thought to use a hammer for something like this. The story is decent as well, I love the idea of a prisoner miner busting into a secret chamber. That's good stuff. Why is all the text bold? No point deduction, but it's ugly and cramped (in my opinion). You also have 3 or 4 blank lines at the top of the page, why? Do some formatting, pretty it up. But, the all important content is still nice.
Pretty cool. Very nice item with well-placed minor magic abilities, but much larger potential for social/diplomatic encounters. Good job.
Interesting. I enjoyed this tale of a Garbage Hell and its disgusting hoarders. There are a few parts that beg for more detail, like the insidious, trap-laying Trash Golems. Overall, it was a good little tale and moral lesson. It seems like it would be easily placed into many settings, which is nice, and is a perfect way to get your players to relinquish their precious treasures if they happen to get too many. Seems like a lot of sacrifice for little reward, but that is Hell for you.
More information on Shabow Boxing and Masters of the Shadow-Physical Arts -
Well, it seems one of our students is a bit more interested in Shadow Boxing and, in particular, its relation to the Longstrider Technique.
You see that the Shadow-Physical Arts rely on using Shadow as an extention of yourself. With Shadow Boxing, you touch someone with your Shadow and cause then harm. With the Longstrider Technique you are extending your Shadow in a very similar way but then, and this is a very difficult Technique to master and use quickly, force your physical body to travel the legths of your Shadow. As it is being used as an extension of yourself, it is often considered related to Shadow Boxing, but in truth Shadow Boxing is only the first step towards learning Longstriding. The proper name for this area of study is Shadow-Physical Arts and I am sorry for misleading you.
Good. That was the intent. :)
This article is scary. The name, the tone. The message, intent and application aren't, but damn. Reading this gave me a sense of impending doom, fear of the Hammer's retribution. I'm curious though, with articles such as Silv's and Mourn's and a few others about how to vote and act here, will we be allowed to discuss voting practices when the subject is so blatantly brought up or are those types of submissions now discouraged?
In any case, I'm not sure if this is a neccesary implementation. Only because it sounds harsh compared to how lax the Citadel has always been. Just remember what old Unlce Ben said, with great power comes great responsibility.
