Thanks strolen. It amazes me sometimes the things to put to paper for no apparent reason and have never really used myself. Go to Comment

I don't think only Gms can help with this. True players who view this can see what to expect and how to project their characters into the next level of role-playing I think. This should help both I'm thinking. Go to Comment

Yes, this was originally created in mind of an XP based gaming system as that was the question that was asked of a member. However, that being said I don't see much of a difference in the concept of it really. I've played in non-XP based systems and I think this still has some merit.

I've actually been trying to read and get into the Cortex system so I can understand your hesitation. Go to Comment

The irony here is when I originally wrote this my Hewdamia system was XP based and now it isn't. I still think it applies however a review and rewrite may be forth coming to address the non-XP systems.

These are the Firstborn, the creators (Gods) if you will. Or those that survived will be. The Secondborn are the mortals spawned by the creators ignorance. There will be seven posts to accompany thins one. Go to Comment

I am not sure. I think it adds more hushed tones of doom inspiring meaning underlying the fact that we are to lazy to write in great detail... but that could just be me. :)

Intriguing to being with. As Dossta said it is an original take on a pantheon. It would be interesting if there were separate courts for the senses divided in their individual courts yet together in the pantheon by an odd form of harmony.

However, I would like more information on the parental gods as well as why Hyewmor took his mothers eyes and ate them. Was it to gain her unique sight or abilities? Or was it simply out of spite for looking at him differently than his two siblings?

Simple, little flair, and a definite "Here's an idea to give to the annoying player who is greedy!" award.

Cheka had a good thought for a plot hook. How about one of the player character's picks the pocket of the owner of this unlucky gem thinking he is himself very lucky to have acquired it.

Or perhaps the players have been hired to frequent the locked stash of a local and grab a few of his belongings, one of which is the gem that they just can not get rid of. This could have not only the original owner after them but the one who hired them could also be after them for' not giving up the whole treasure so to speak.

I think you need to work on your to honest nature AG! If you are afraid to hurt someones feelings how will you be able to tell anyone how you feel about, well anything?

But I agree, I have noticed a trend of voting and HoHing certain people because they are active. I just wanted everyone to be aware that just because you may not submit material up doesn;t mean you can't contribute. Help us out so you can continue to enjoy the site. Go to Comment

I have said in the past, I would rather you tell me my submission was a 1 then read it, not like it, then not tell me to fix it.

I like comments regardless if they are good or bad. If it isn't any good and I don't know about it I can't fix it. Tell me it stinks... that will make me fix it much faster. Go to Comment

Mike made a very good point.

Thou shalt not comment on a man's work before thou hast walked a mile in his shoes

I take this to mean one thing. Do not look at a post as being bad, or crap, or junk or a waste of time. . . unless you have submitted something yourself. I for one love comments both good and bad, but seeing someone who has never posted before and just comments and tells someone their submission is crap is off to me.

If someone puts forth the time to submit and comment then they know the fear of rejection. But someone who never submits anything and comments and bashes someone for their lack luster skill.

I don't know i guess I am a little harsh today because I'm getting bad news after bad news. Go to Comment
