it is also rumored that if a dwarf gets drunk and starts a bar fight, the dwarfs will rally and slay all who oppose them. Actually no, thats not a rumor, thats a fact. I have seen it happen before, and it WILL happen again my friends. Dwarfs are very VERY mysterious creatures. Proceed with caution. Go to Comment

Yes, im sorry if you got the wrong idea. I am a extreamily pessimistic person, so anything i can find wrong with anything i will yell it out for all to hear. I didn't mean to insult you, I too, have made a few items that have been rather unorigional to others. But back to my previous comment, im sure it is not something that ive seen at this site, so it wasn't you i heard it from. Go to Comment
Gloves of the Soul-Mage
Items  (Clothes)   (Magical)
Magus's comment on 2004-02-22 11:37 PM
*claps. Very good, this is an enjoyable item that i wish i had thought of first. The players would never know what hit them, but that brings up a question. how would the gloves work their corruption through a PC? wouldn't the PC have to know that he/she is supposed to gradually acted more evil? And then, wouldn't they just be able to toss the gloves to the side. I'm sure youll be able to come up with a solution, or already have one and just havn't put it down on paper.
I personally would suggest either having the gloves fall into the hands of a close NPC, or making them have a addiction that needs a saving through that rises over time. All that put aside good job. (sorry if i seem picky but you dont get better through nothing but praise) Go to Comment

cruel and unusuall, excelent. The shear evil of your mind brings me great pleasure. However, i do think that this is a little unfair because what are they supposed to do. let the attackers kill them? There is a time to kill, and a time to let live. Go to Comment

sorry i tried to edit that i was supposed to say "if the players had the intellegence to not attack them wouldn't they also realise that retaliating would be a mark of hostility?" but it never got edited in, i suppose i never considered the posibility that they would have an explination if they just subdued them. Amen to that last part. but there isn't a backstory, because that would limit his uses. I mean really, don't you believe in legends among legends. Go to Comment

To answer what i see fit in order, before i take youre advice. Yes he was there at atlantis, but not to evacuate them, to warn them. no. He didn't advice a great king, because hes not an adviser, hes a prophet. Yes he "prophosises" to bad guys. He workes to give people a second chance. People have no reason to listen to him, such as would have been the case with atlantis. Yes someone could immitate him, but most people that talk about him are thought to have something wrong with them. And there is no evidence that he is even a real person. He may just be an imagination that, because people know of them, they see him, even though he is not there. In other words, he could not even exist. His origin like a stated has many different stories, as a DM come up with youre own if you want to. Go to Comment

The journey had been a long one and now they had entered the mountains. After an entire day spent on paths cut into the mountainside and through moss covered coniferous woods, they encounter a desperate young mountain tribal. He is searching for his beloved wife and his elder brother, both of whom he got separated from after an unsuccessful attempt to kill a cave bear. The last thing he saw was the cave bear in full pursuit of his wife. He could not help her as he had been knocked to the ground by the raging beast, and was struggling to regain full consciousness. The tribal will be clearly nervous and urges them to look for his wife during their travels. He will stay in his village a couple of miles to the north and pleads for assistance should they recover his wife, whether she be dead or alive.

On the next day of travel, they will journey upon a dim track in the forest and while they are preparing to ascend another path cut into the mountainside, they hear moans of lust from somewhere nearby. Upon closer inspection they will spy a young tribal woman in the heat of the act with an elder tribal male. They are consummating their forbidden love on the cold mountain moss, and beside them lay the skinned and slaughtered carcass of a huge bear.
