''How can the PCs in a typical pre-industrial fantasy world (as it seems to be) hope to fight against or even understand the nature of a super-intelligent microbial race capable of starflight?''
An excellent question, and one that I soon intend to answer. My next submission will present a more than worthy foe for these invaders to overcome. Go to Comment
I loved it. Just reading this, made me feel like I was drifting off, gaining an insight into another world. It's hard to describe the feeling, but it had a soothing and enchanting effect on me. Go to Comment
Why, yes that is very possible. After all, many among the Skulls probably bear ill-will towards eleves and dwarves over old feuds. And as for the question of fighting humans, they have no problem with that either. They are not overly-fond of the race that despises those who have brough the humans much victory. Who knows? The day might come when the Skulls grow powerful enough to threaten their old employers. Go to Comment
That's a good idea,Scras. I can envision places of great secrecy that serve as birthing chambers for the Cuada. And the Brotherhood has been waging a largely unseen battle for as long as either side can remeber,to infiltrate these monastaries in a determined effort to wrest important secrets from thr Cuada. The Possessive One is a creature driven by an insane sense of jealousy. So, yes, until she leaves for a location he cannot reach, his torment of her will not cease. Everything else is irrelevant, his former home included. Go to Comment
This is one of the submissions that I did for CP's ''Remaking The Undead'' thread. I'd never have guessed that it would turn out to be this popular! Go to Comment
Shoudn't be too hard on a bunch of guys just taking stuff from people who no longer need them. Would you care if someone stole your favourite vase after youv'e been dead for centuries? Go to Comment
It's very interesting, the way Shawn twists the classic elf cliche. In most novels, the elves are distinguished by their love of nature and look down on greedy humans and dwarves for violating the mother earth. In Shawn's setting however, nature is an evil thing that enslaves the elves and the only way to save them would be to destroy the woods.
