Another of those characters that I don't like, but should exist. It is one of those things that you should ahve in your campaign (the broken meta) but never think about. Not everyone who has a tragedy straps on a cape and tights and goes to fight crime. Some people just break. Go to Comment
He is an AI cliche done well. The touch of magic is very cool. He is a new kind of elemental, so we have modern magic. The powers are stereotypical, as is his anchor, but it is well done.
He and Adel could be part of an Urban Fantasy (deLint's stuff) or Changeling game. Go to Comment
I heard about this in years past. My Champs GM used a variation on it. I assume he got it from you. It works pretty well. Would of worked better if you had mentioned some of the staff and how it works. Go to Comment
These are a great group. They can be good guys. They can be bad guys. They can be support sources and even team sponsors. Everyone should have them in their modern game. Go to Comment
This could be a great kingdom next door. Those little guys you keep ignoring while you deal with the big apparent threat next door. Then out of no where this will occur! BAM! Armies of undead!
How very anime in look and feel. There should be some drama and pathos as the tool, who is a living breathing person with feelings, go stoically home to its doom. PCs who will find out about this will try to stop them or disuade them. Fight scenes trying to save "their friend" with powerful immortal parent. And of course, if it was anime, the tool dying in the end to save its "friends".
Could be a fun RP game.
Reread them today. Still pretty much have the same opinion. Some people would like the Drama of being a "temporary" being. And since they could never tell anyone about it (being rude and seen as an unseemly plea for help), there would be a lot of internal roleplaying going on. Yet, they are very anime. Of course, you could just edit that part out (and shrink their ears to a more normal size).
Not your brother's Elves. This gives a bit of pathos and drama to your standard elves without reworking them too much.
If you can kill him off, you can eventually kill off the race. He is also their organizational center, so taking the head is appropriate. So the course of any war is all about protecting the HighFather. Go to Comment
You have two species here, More Fey True Trolls and the more Human Right Turns. I like the Right Turn ones better. They are something you could add to the world to add drama. Your poor trolls living in the cities, not yet adapting to be empowered urban trolls.
The True Trolls are just fairy monsters. Well thought out fairy monsters, but just monsters. Go to Comment
I am having trouble wrapping my head around this. But from what I comprehend, is just "wow". This system allows you to have a detailed magic system based upon "the game world's history". It is not just random game mechanics. It is pay attention to the world or get screwed mechanics. WOOHOO! Take that power mongers!
It is a little hard to read. Maybe a summary would be nice. Go to Comment
