Okay, this is just rad. Not only is it something completely subtle, believable, and imaginative, it also leads to a whole host of extra plot lines. Best idea of seen in a while. Go to Comment

I think you guys are being a bit unfair. I'm sure this would have a 4.25 rating if one of the older hands had put it forth.

As for myself, I think that it still needs some work in terms of additional plot hooks. We could all probably come up with a few good uses for this toxin (Wulfhere's already started!), so why not put a few forth. Flesh it out a bit. What exactly is a Howler Demon? Why should we be afraid of it? Do Demons reproduce sexually, and even have pheremones?

Not bad for a first submission. Go to Comment

I'm glad the 30 --- trend did not devolve into a series of dull and unimaginative brews... this is extremely useful.

Not to mention entertaining. Especially 16. Go to Comment

I could see a large problem with the respiratory and circulatory systems- the lungs and hearts of both animals would need to be enlarged to cope with a sudden increase in mass. Would the human head get too hot, as it's less efficient at shunting excess heat than its equine counterpart?

Otherwise, a very nice way of making a legendary creature more palatable and realistic. Good work. Go to Comment

Incarnadine's comment on 2007-03-28 10:51 PM
If you slipped this into somebody's backpack you could have a pretty sweet plot as they think they've found a holy artifact- just write something along the lines of:

"Hello, I'm your god."

As long as they're not familiar with Twin Paper, that'd make a pretty entertaining plotline. Go to Comment

What about a 'criminal' society with distinct laws - for stealing, the larger the value of something stolen, the less punishment the courageous thief recieves (but must return it of course). For this pirates(?) caught petty thieves deserve to be punished harshly. If you take, you better take a lot.
