I really like the collection, it doesn't matter to me that they are not very thematic as a group. Go to Comment

Maybe the seeds can be used as alchemical components in recipes that aim to contaminate or corrupt, especially ones acting on the magical properties of objects or people. Go to Comment

A bit confusing at first with the "lesson", it turned out to be an interesting read. And a party that has gone through this will probably think before they start throwing money around again. Go to Comment

I really like the magic of this dream item! But maybe it's not so extraordinary in the dream setting? Go to Comment

I've always liked scholarly congregations. Too bad so little of the academic feel of those schools of pure thought is left in the establishments I've been part of. Go to Comment

115) Book of fleeting dreams

This book contains a list of the possible meanings of items, places or events one can see in their dreams. Such cheap volumes are often used by women of all layers of society to decipher their badly remembered nightly fantasies. However, rarely one of these books will come with a specific enchantment that few are aware of. When one touches his forehead with the book in the first moments after waking up, a random scene from the person's dreams that night (exactly like he or she had seen it) appears on the last empty page of the book for about a minute. This always happens, whether the person remembers that particular dream or not. Some magically inclined people have used this property to glean some insight into their own dreams while others that have unwittingly used the book's magic have been scared to death seeing their nightmares on its pages.

What if someone already used it?
When the adventurers reach this point of the maze/dungeon/house, they find that someone has already half opened the door. It is moved from the vertical position and hangs at an odd angle, leaving narrow gaps at the bottom and top. The only problem with crawling under it is the gas - it has been expelled from the door and now covers the floor in a thick layer of brightly coloured fumes (maybe even concealing the lower gap). It is a matter of wits and acrobatics to pass the trap now, without dropping into the poisonous cloud. A nasty surprise may be the body of the one that opened the door, hidden in the gasses that swirl on the ground (something to trip over). Go to Comment

Have you thought of making the connection two-way? I mean that influence on the rosebush could have an effect on the relationships between the countries, even if it's subtle. Go to Comment

I truly expected to see that the researchers turned into a variety of beasts, not just one kind. Go to Comment

For a twist in the "find a cure" plot:
Gaeric won't be able to find a cure by himself, but maybe that's the players' task - to keep him from destroying what he has achieved when he transforms. This means that they have to guard him at all times and quickly immobilize/secure him when he starts to turn. If they fail they have a fight on their hands, in which they can't aim to kill and still have to protect the research. Go to Comment

Strange Love Affair

       By: rickster

Ursula is a were-bear; she and Stewart, the bailiff of a rural feudal estate, are lovers, sharing all their secrets as lovers often do. Recently something has been taking livestock. *He* must deal with suspicions that a bear is involved (one has been seen nearby...): *she* must defend herself if it is revealed (perhaps by a jealous suitor, perhaps accidentally) that she is a lycanthrope. The adventurers might be called in to track the hungry beast(s) and discover her secret, but be able to reveal that the culprits are a small pack of wolves that has moved in to the area. The adventurers might earn the gratitude of both Ursula and Stewart, depending on what they reveal, and to whom.
