I, for my part, did not contribute to such an inflated average. It is good Scras work (as all Scras work is), and is very good for a 30, but it isn't leaping over that bar to become 5 material Go to Comment
Why does this dragon have healing powers? Where did it come from, how was it born or who made it or whatever? Where did it come from? What are its habits? Are there legends that surround it? So on so on.
There is very, VERY little detail. It is an interesting idea, but what else is there to it?
How as the Enori's "innocence faded"? Why do people want to catch it so bad? Is it divine? It's unique, so where did it come from? Go to Comment
Not a big fan of transdimensional travel, but it's mostly for the reasons you have outlined, Scras- the boringness and cliche of the whole "planar" set-up.
This, I think, fits in better with the whole idea of fantasy. Go to Comment
If it was a castle, it was the strangest one he had ever seen.
He of course saw the main tower - taller than anything he had seen outside of Stoneholt, the spire looked fragile and was topped by a glassed-in chamber.
The outer wall was so gently sloped that it would have only stopped a horde of hobbling old men, an able-bodied soldier could stride up to its crest with little effort. Within one saw a huge, nearly perfect bowl-shaped area with the base of the tower in the centre, covered in hundreds of mirrors.
This structure is a massive solar collector designed by the Wizard-King Aardwal in centuries past. He used the concentrated light in his investigations into the magic of light, and in the fashioning of flash crystals.
