A great piece of literature. Makes me want to think of the other things tank parts could be used for besides to solar sheet, and other engines for tanks, including ones run on willpower. Of course I would love this submission! Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery, your mother knows what I'm talking about. These are all great evolutions of the original potion, with butter. Silly, of which I am a fan, my only gripe is that I actually created a Mutants and Masterminds character whose power was #76. Spun controlling time for himself into eidetic memory, improved awareness and reactions, and planning things out. He was always the calm good guy. Good sub none the less, and I added a few. As a general concept, it's ok. The name and air around it are catchy. One thing that is buggin the heck out of me are the guards funds. All that poker playing, but no one has any money? A bit of copper and a couple silvers is believable, but no cash at all? My orcs don't play "Friendly" games, maybe if they were wagering services, like duty shifts, latrine cleaning, I could understand.

Room2 Issues: Wizard high enough to block fireballs + competent and well supplied catapult crew = pain. There are just too many good spells to not make that encounter more dangerous. Invisible boulders alone are terrifying enough.

The traps on the way out slowing the orcs down is a real nagging point with me too. Their traps, their home, and they suffer? What kind of trap could that be? Pit traps would only slow the orcs down if they are less agile than the PCs and don't have a second way around. Also, where are the orcs at the docks? They apparently have expendable impoverish poker playing guards a plenty, no one thought to protect thier ride? Go to Comment

They are a powerful undead being lost in time, more powerful than I'd like my mindless shamblers to be. I am more intrigued by the "Time Lich" idea than the zombie, but the idea itself is fleshed out well, for certain views of time. Go to Comment

The "spirit" of the item is to be a difficult to use magic item that has more flaws than benefits, so I wouldn't let players make it into something more useful. Besides, hacking holes into any magic item usually does not have good results... Go to Comment

It is silly, if a bit juvenile. Makes me wonder if they also have a mexican themed night with pink tacos. "The best place in town to eat out!" Maybe a honeymooners special platter for $69 so they can both eat out. Is the mascot a little man in a pink boat?

The Charlatan's Beard, certainly, and the Whiskers of Doom closely resemble a Fu Manchu, but the other ones are symbiotes and will be seen for what they are. Grey-green moustaches are uncommon, and other varieties may be any color. Go to Comment

I echo OmegaDraco's comments. Magic items that are not game breaking are ones I prefer, and the backstory presented does a great job of setting them up as having a reason for existing. Well done.

Great submission. Very evocotive descriptions of its creation and purpose, the dedication of the people's very being into it's existance. Only critique would be that is would be almost too powerful to put into the same scene as the players. If this was to fall into the plot the pc's were in, what purpose could it serve either for or against them?

I might not have made it clear how much of a mess it is inside. I wrote this on the verge of sleep, and after some more, may consider clarifying the dunes of loose papers and scrolls that cover the interior... A wizards study does not handle continuous jostling well. Go to Comment
